Your declarations page ("dec page") is the 1–3 page summary at the front of your policy. It shows who and what is covered, your coverages and deductibles, your policy dates, and what you pay. It may be titled Declarations, Policy Declarations, Coverage Summary, or Policy Summary.
The fastest ways to get it:
- Your insurance company's app or website. Log in, open your policy, and look for Documents or Policy documents, then the latest Declarations. Download the PDF, or screenshot the coverage screens.
- Your email. Search your inbox for your insurance company's name plus declarations or renewal. Insurers send it when you buy, at every renewal, and when the policy changes.
- Your mail. It's the first page or two of your policy or renewal packet. A clear phone photo works.
- Ask for a copy. Call or text your current insurance company or agent and ask for your current declarations page. They can usually email it the same day.
Where to find it at popular insurance companies
- SageSure: log in or create an account at my.sagesure.com (you'll need your policy number, ZIP code, and email), then download your policy documents.
- Progressive: log in, open your policy, then Documents at the top. Progressive home policies are often written by another company (like SageSure), so the home dec page may come from them.
- GEICO: auto is in the policy documents section of your online account. GEICO home policies are written by partner companies (like SageSure, Homeowners of America, or National General), so get the home dec page from that company.
- State Farm: in the app, open Document Center and choose the latest declarations page.
- Allstate: My Account → Policies → Documents → latest declarations page.
- USAA: app or website → Documents.
- Liberty Mutual / Safeco: log in → Documents tab.
- Nationwide: ID Cards & Documents → declarations.
- National General: MyPolicy → View policy documents.
- Swyfft: Contact Us → Get Copy of Policy.
- Louisiana Citizens: there's no online download yet. Call 1-888-568-6455 or ask the agent who placed your policy.
- Farm Bureau (TX or LA): ask your local Farm Bureau agent for a copy.
🚗 Auto: your ID card is not the dec page. We need the page that lists your drivers, vehicles, and coverages.
🌊 Separate wind or flood policy? (TWIA, flood insurance) Those have their own dec pages, so upload them too.
📸 Screenshots are fine. Make sure the coverages, limits, and policy dates are readable. Upload one for each policy you have (auto, home, and so on).
